|Paddle conveyors - We are always interested in looking at the more unusual applications and will always design a conveyor to suit a specific need. We have recently completed a small Belt Conveyor with a flighted belt to act as a 'paddle' conveyor. The conveyor is part of a press-forming machine our customer has built. The conveyor collects and moves large metal sheets at a regular rate to a subsequent operation. The sheets will be collected between approx. 100mm high flights (paddles) spaced at 50mm pitch along the conveyor belt.
We and our customer, worked very closely to tailor the conveyor to match his specific requirements.
Scrap Conveyors - We have recently completed an order for two small Belt Conveyors to remove scrap metal from a press. The scrap material ranges from small slugs approx. 1mm thick x 3mm diameter to larger scrap pieces, approx. 20 x 20mm. The two conveyors operate in series with the first feeding onto the second at 90 degrees. The second drops the scrap into a bin approx. 800mm high. The clearance under the press for the first conveyor is approx. 250mm only.
The special belts on both conveyors are endless PVC with PU sidewalls and flights. These two special belt conveyors were designed and fabricated ready for delivery in 9 working days from order! Our standard paint colour is blue (RAL 5015) but our customer requested these two conveyors to be in black - no problem! This is the first time we have been asked for this colour. We feel it looks very good, particularly the contrast of white belt and black framework and stands.
